Orphans of Saint Ordrin — Book Two

The adventure continues beyond Saint Ordrin

The Mirror Between Roads

The roads ahead no longer obey distance, direction, or the borders between worlds. Every reflection may become a doorway, and every doorway may carry the family somewhere they were never meant to reach.

About the Book

Some roads lead farther than distance should allow.

Seebo, Brad, Adrian, and Roan survived the events that first bound them together as a family. What waits beyond Saint Ordrin will test whether that family can remain together when the road itself begins pulling them apart.

The paths ahead do not behave as ordinary roads should. A familiar trail may open into a distant land. A reflection may reveal a doorway where no doorway existed. A single wrong crossing may place miles, kingdoms, or entire worlds between one member of the family and the others.

What begins as another journey soon becomes a struggle to understand a network of impossible passages whose rules refuse to remain consistent. The farther the four travel, the more clearly they realize that the roads are not merely shortcuts. They are connections between places that may have been separated for a reason.

Seebo must confront problems that intelligence alone cannot solve. Brad’s power becomes more difficult to hide when every new destination brings unfamiliar dangers. Adrian must listen to living worlds that do not recognize the same natural laws. Roan must keep the family together even when strength offers no protection against distance.

Every crossing presents a choice: continue forward, turn back, or trust a reflection that may be showing them exactly what they want to see. Their decisions will carry consequences far beyond the road beneath their feet.

Orphans of Saint Ordrin: The Mirror Between Roads continues the story of Seebo, Brad, Adrian, and Roan as their world expands beyond familiar borders and their chosen family is tested by distance, uncertainty, and impossible paths.

The Family

Four travelers facing an impossible road

The dangers have grown, but so have the bonds between Seebo, Brad, Adrian, and Roan.

Seebo

Brilliant mind. Dragon blood. No simple answers.

Seebo approaches the impossible roads as a puzzle that can be understood. He soon discovers that knowing how a doorway works does not always reveal where it intends to send him.

Brad

Dangerous magic. Sharp humor. Growing power.

Brad continues to meet fear with confidence and sarcasm, but unfamiliar worlds make it harder to predict how others will react to the inheritance and power he carries.

Adrian

Living magic. Quiet insight. Unfamiliar worlds.

Adrian’s connection to nature becomes both guide and warning as the roads carry the family into places where the living world speaks in ways he has never encountered.

Roan

Fierce strength. Fiercer loyalty. No one left behind.

Roan can stand between his family and almost any physical threat. The roads force him to face a different fear: being unable to reach someone when they need him most.

Inside the Story

Beyond the familiar road

Impossible Passage

Mirrors and roads connect places that should be separated by distance, borders, and the boundaries between worlds.

Separation and Trust

The family must trust one another even when the road divides them and no one can be certain that they are seeing the same destination.

Consequences of Choice

Every doorway chosen closes another possibility, and some destinations cannot be left without changing the travelers who entered them.

A road only promises that it leads somewhere. It never promises that somewhere will let you return. The Mirror Between Roads
